Dr. Johnathan Snead
Owner/ Veterinary Medical Director
Dr. Snead was born and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina. He began his career working as a Kennel Attendant in an animal hospital . He began his Undergrad at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and finished up at Tuskegee University of Veterinary Medicine in which he graduated in 2010. He loves working with exotics, performing soft tissue surgeries, and communicating with clients. He enjoys creating a fun and friendly environment for all his clients and patients. His hobbies include hiking, auto mechanics, and playing with his baby Rosie, who is a Labradoodle.
Dr. Joe Owens III
Owner/Veterinary Medical Director
Dr. Joe Jesse Owens, III is an exemplary Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Inventor, Business Owner, and affluent public speaker. Dr. Owens is the proud son of Mr. Joe Owens, Jr and Sharon Owens, DVM, who inspired his career in veterinary medicine. Dr. Owens was born in Marlboro MA, and raised in Durham NC, with his 3 sisters. Dr. Owens attended and graduated from the illustrious Tuskegee University with his undergraduate degree in Animal Science in 2008, and again in 2012 with his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. While attending Tuskegee, Dr. Owens was an honor student, joined the prestigious Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., was Mr. Tuskegee University 07-08, and held positions in Veterinary School as Class President 08-09 and SCAVMA President 10-11.
Upon graduating, Dr. Owens relocated to Las Vegas to begin his career. He has worked everything from relief, shelter medicine, emergency, private practice, and corporate day practice. In 2016, he made the decision to grow his career by not only practicing veterinary medicine but also practice ownership. Dr. Owens not only partnered with his college alum (Dr. Johnathan Snead) to co-own and operate 2 animal hospitals and 1 emergency hospital in Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada, but he also invented the only appetite stimulation bowl on the market for pets; Enjoy-A-Bowl®. Enjoy-A-Bowl® allows you to treat your pet with tantalizing aroma of human food without the bad side effects. Dr. Owens has used his invention to solve numerous dietary discretion concerns and increase pet owner compliance for chronic treatment of multiple health issues induced from malnutrition. In 2017 Dr. Owens went on to pitch Enjoy-A-Bowl® on national television and won over the live audience along with a cash prize of $50k for seed funding on Steve Harvey’s Funderdome on ABC.
During his time off, Dr. Owens enjoys spending time with his wife (Leticia Owens), his newborn son (Mekhi Jesse Owens) and his 12yr old Australian Shepherd mix (Que). When he is not with his family, Dr. Owens enjoys working out, video gaming, online and in-person speaking engagements and traveling to veterinary schools to mentor future veterinarians.
Dr. Caitlin Mascaro
Dr. Mascaro was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. She received her Bachelor’s in Animal Science and Technology at Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers!) while also working as a Veterinary Technician. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine in Alabama. Her professional interests include internal medicine, dermatology, and dentistry. In her free time, Dr. Mascaro enjoys hiking, kayaking, traveling, riding horses, and watching the LSU Tigers play football. She has 2 dogs: Senor Uno (Terrier Mix) and Satchmo (Bernese Mountain Dog); and 2 horses: Magic and Bizou who live in Louisiana.
Dr. Crystal Cain
Dr. Cain was born and raised in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She received her bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University with a major in animal science and minor in nutrition. She then continued at NC State to complete a master’s degree in Animal Science. She obtained her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Cain’s professional interests include exotic animal medicine, internal medicine, surgery, and nutrition. She is also a fear-free certified professional. Dr. Cain has two dogs (Furby and Theodore), a rabbit (Reeses), a turtle (Franklynn), and a hedgehog (Creed). In her spare time, she enjoys going to the movies, traveling, playing video games, and spending time outdoors.
Julia was raised in Hawaii and recently relocated to Las Vegas in January of 2020. The majority of her work history has been in the medical field as a receptionist/financial coordinator. She enjoys working with clients to ensure the best experience for them and their fur babies. In her spare time, Julia enjoys playing games with her two babies and having dance parties! She also enjoys cooking and baking new foods.
Veterinary Office Manager
Stephanie was born and raised in Los Angeles California and relocated to Las Vegas in 2019. She has been in the animal field for a little over 6 years. Her love for animals grew from volunteering at animal shelters in California. She recently adopted two beautiful huskies named Lobo and Meesha. On her days off she enjoys her time watching movies(the more gory the better), drawing, and exploring Las Vegas with her other half and two fur babies.
Christine Bewley has more than 10 years of experience in the veterinary field. When she is not caring for your pets, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, going hiking, attending concerts, and reading.
Kyle has been living in Las Vegas since 2002 and working in the veterinary field since 2008. He and his wife have a little, elderly dog at home that they love very much. When not treating your pets like family, you can find him enjoying music, movies, reading, eating chocolate, wine and sushi as well as writing brief bios about himself in the third person.
Meggie has been working in the veterinary field since 2012. She originally started working at a cat hospital and spent a lot of time volunteering at animal shelters. She recently moved back to Vegas after living in Colorado for several years. She lives with her dog and 4 cats. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outside, hiking, yoga, and traveling.
Veronica was born and raised in California and relocated to Las Vegas in 2000. She has been in the veterinarian field since 2003. She loves dealing with exotics, and anything that walks through the doors. Veronica is compassionate and relatable when it comes to treating pets and clients as if they were family. When she is not caring for your pets, she is spending time with her two kids. Veronica also enjoys outdoor adventures, hiking, traveling, working out, painting, and music. She is also a proud owner of an 14yr old chihuahua named Wee Wee, 8yr old Sheltie named Roxie, 3yr old domestic shorthair cat named Mittens and a conure named Olive.
Born and raised in Las Vegas, Brittney has been working in the veterinary field since 2015. If you ask her, she will tell you that she would not choose to work in any other field. At home she has a cat named Megan that she will never stop talking about. Her lifelong dream is to run an animal sanctuary with a focus on senior animals.
Jada was born and raised in Las Vegas. When she's not working one of her jobs, Jada enjoys spending time with her Lab/Pitt/Mastiff pup named Moose Tyrannosaurus Rex and watching hockey with her best friend, who is also her puppy Moose. As you can tell, her whole life revolves around her puppy Moose, who she loves very much (obviously). Jada plans to go back to school soon to continue to grow in the veterinary field.
Hallie has been in the veterinary field for over 4 years. She is married with 2 dogs and 2 cats. She got her love for animals from her mother, who would rescue stray kittens. Hallie is looking forward in growing in this industry and would like to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician.
Jessica is a certified veterinary assistant who started her journey in veterinary medicine in January of 2021. She is also in the process of working on her degree to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She has a love for animals in all shapes and sizes. She has a dog (Cooper), cat (Pippa) and three lizards (Charlie, Spyro, and Littlefoot) at home. When she is not caring for animals at work or at home she is either singing, knitting, crocheting or baking. Her lifetime goal is to work in pathology as a Licensed Veterinary Technician.
Cecilia was born and raised in San Diego CA. She’s worked in the animal field for about 5 years and enjoys every second of it! She can truly say that she loves her job. She does not have any pets at the moment, but German Shepherds are her favorite breed. She is in love with our hospital cat, Panther!
Rachel was born and raised in California and relocated to Henderson in 2019. She has two dogs, Macy (a sweet and scared-of-everything pitbull) and Frankie (a daring doxie). Rachel has been working with animals since 2016 and says it’s the only type of job she’s ever seen herself doing. On her days off, she enjoys taking her dogs to the dog park and working on her school assignments.
Oni was born and raised in Las Vegas. She has two dogs, Frankie (terrier mix) and Rocco (maltipoo). Her favorite pastime is watching sci-fi movies with them! She also loves to read and learn more about the world. Her current topic of interest is psychology and when she’s looking for something fun to read, science fiction and fantasy are her favorite!
Kristen Muth began her animal care career in education at The Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat in 2018. Currently, a kennel technician, Kristen’s goal is to become a certified veterinary technician and work with zoo exotics, specifically big cats. Outside of work she spends time cultivating her home zoo, which currently consists of a lab mix (Toph), two tabby cats (Poob and Felix,) and a betta fish (Gillian). With what’s left of her free time, Kristen enjoys scary movies, true crime podcasts, and other media designed to make her uncomfortable.
Gloriana was born in Costa Rica but raised in California. She has a terrier named Benji and an Egyptian Mau cat named Tequila. On her free time, she likes going to the gym, going on hikes, taking pictures/videos and traveling whenever possible especially to places with nice beaches. Gloriana has experience working in pet care she is so excited to begin working in the veterinary field.
There are not enough good things I can say about Dr. Snead. He is the most honest, kind, caring, and professional Veterinarian I have ever known. He has taken excellent care of all of my pets for 10 years. I refer everyone I know to him. His prices are reasonable, he will listen, remain open minded, and provide the best treatment he can to your furry family members.
Very nice staffing and doctor is amazing, make you feline you really @ you own doctor's visit. Yes i fully recommend this office, they're a caring staff.
